Tetsuya's
Last month, Dr Shogo was back for a visit in sunny Australia after 2 years in the UK. With the gang of three back in full force, we decided to celebrate the occassion with the meal to end all meals . . . lunch at Tetsuya's, voted the 5th best restaurant in the world. (529 Kent St Sydney NSW 2000, ph +61 2 9267 2900)
A meal at Tetsuya's requires considerable planning as the restaurants is booked-out months in advance. It also requires some belt tightening beforehand, first to prepare one's stomach for the mind-blowing gastronomic experience, and second, to save up for the steep price tag that goes with the meal.
And after three months of planning, deliberations and savings . . . Dr Shogo arrived heralding our visit to what has become for us, the gastronomic temple. And without further ado, here is our Tetsuya's experience.
